Gladiolus cultivation report

グラジオラス 花 ピンク Gladiolusflower

Glossy flowers bloom one after another from sword-like flower stalks that pierce the midsummer blue sky!

ボニー

Hello. I am Bonnie, the gladiolus fairy. The origin of the name gladiolus comes from the Latin word gladius, which means “sword”. It comes from feeling the sword. However, contrary to such a brave name, the flower is gorgeous, gorgeous and elegant. It is a member of the iris family, but is characterized by its blooming in midsummer. This noble flower will cool you down on a scorching afternoon.

Cute little bulbs. Ground planting is good. The trick is to plant them a little deeper. After all, the gladiolus, which is heavy at the top because of the gorgeous flowers blooming, tends to tilt due to its weight, so it is necessary to firmly anchor it to the ground.

Gladiolus cultivation point

It takes a long time to germinate, but after germination, it grows well without stopping in the middle. Blooms in about four months, depending on the climate zone. Gorgeous flowers begin to bloom one after another from vertically extending flower stalks. Since the upper part is voluminous and heavy, be careful not to plant the bulbs deep enough as the whole will tend to tilt due to the weight.
